The Heckler & Koch MP5 is an automatic weapon added in Cry of Fear Standalone.

Overview

The MP5 is one of three automatic weapons in the game alongside the Famas and the MP9. The MP5 is unlocked by joining the Steam group and completing the game once, after which it will appear in the secret rooms. When picked up, it will have 10 full magazines of ammunition, with no additional ammo being found anywhere in the game.

History and Trivia

• It was originally dedicated as a monument to mappers and donators to show the appreciation for helping Cry of Fear grow. To access the weapon, a creator of a quality custom map was to send a private message to ruMpel, and if accepted, that user would be invited to the Cry of Fear mappers group. The other way to obtain this weapon was to donate $10 to ruMpel, which would have allowed you to use both the MP9 and the MP5.
• As of November 1, 2020, the weapon has become free for everyone who joins the Steam group, which is now public. The MP5's animations were also changed as part of this update.
• There is no actual ammo for the MP5 within the game or the game data files.
• The model, textures and animations are by Kopter, with the model itself reused from Resident Evil: Cold Blood.
